Exterior Paint

In accordance with our community’s  CC&R (2015), prior to applying exterior paint to your buildings, you must obtain approval of the HFVOA’s Architectural Review Committee (ARC). Allow ~2 weeks lead time for approval. Please read your copy of the specifics in the HFVOA Architectural & Community Livability Principles and Rules document.

Exterior Paint Specifications per ARC Regulations

Exterior paint of Hawthorn Farm Village houses or outbuildings must be harmonious with the others in the subdivision. Prior to painting the same color or changing the exterior color, you must submit the color scheme to the Architectural Review Committee for approval. Only three colors of paint on one building are allowed. The entry door may be a separate color. Outbuildings must match the main structure. Paint finishes to be used on the body of the home should be of a flat or satin content. At no time can high-gloss paint be used on the body, trim (including shutters) or door(s) of a home.

    Please include the following documentation with your approval form.
    • Paint chips (color cards) or dry samples for each paint color

    Paints samples must be mailed to HFVOA - ARC. Yes, even though you filled out this form, you must mail the paint samples. Online images of paint colors are not acceptable for approval. Your application will not be considered complete until a paint chip or sample is physically in the possession of HFVOA.
